The piece has a genuine steel blade which has a mirrored finish. The handle is fully hallmarked with the letter o for 1938 along with the Lion, Anchor and the Makers Mark C&N - the Makers Mark for Crisford & Norris. The Silver handle on this particular letter opener is in great condition for its age as the photos reflect. The marks are crisp and clear on this piece.
