Very nice Hamilton & Inches solid silver Edinburgh hallmarked letter opener in case, modelled on a knights Templar sword. The letter opener is hallmarked 2001, and has originally been a corporate item pertaining to the Royal Bank Of Scotland. The included scroll, details how the letter opener is a detailed scale replica of a Knights Templar sword on display in Roslyn Chapel near Edinburgh. The hallmarks are from top to bottom, h & I (Hamilton & Inches), 925, (silver content), the lion passant (Stirling silver), castle(Edinburgh), and the date letter b(2001). The whole opener is solid silver, both blade and handle, unlike some cheaper letter openers. The weight of the opener and silver weight is 48g, so quite weighty.
