On offer today is a splendid genuine Birmingham Sterling Silver Handled Letter Opener which is very pleasing on the eyes. The piece has a genuine steel blade which has a mirrored finish. The handle is fully hallmarked with the letter z for 1899 along with the Anchor and the Lion & the Makers Mark which is O.

O - the Makers Mark for Oskar Olsen. The Silver handle on this particular letter opener is in brilliant condition for its age as the photos reflect and is very special. The marks are crisp on this piece for its age. The letter opener is 24.5 cm in length and weighs a hefty 52 grammes.
