Only minor superficial scratches to the back and insignificant rubs to the nose of one Chief and blade. These letter openers have been left as found and unpolished with their original patina, one being darker than the other.Both lay flat, no bends. If carefully hand polished with cream polish and polishing cloth these letter openers would take on a whole new appearance.
