The piece has a genuine steel blade which has a mirrored finish. The handle is fully hallmarked with the letter o for 1938 along with the Lion, Anchor and the Makers Mark C&N - the Makers Mark for Crisford & Norris. The Silver handle on this particular letter opener is in great condition for its age as the photos reflect. The marks are crisp and clear on this piece. The letter opener is 24.5 cm in length and weighs a hefty 70 grammes.
